Low-Fat Cooking & Baking Tips & Delicious Low-Fat Recipes I love to bake and cook for my family; however, I don’t love high fats and sugar in the meals and deserts I make for my family. You too can love cooking without all the extra calories. I can make any recipe healthier with less fat and sugar without compromising taste. My simple changes add nutrition, have fewer calories, have more fiber & are just as delicious as a standard recipe.  Below are low-fat cooking & baking tips along with delicious low-fat recipes that are full of flavor, fiber and nutrition.

LOW FAT COOKING TIPS & RECIPES Low fat cooking is easy and delicious.  I can make any recipe healthier with less fat.  My simple changes add nutrition, have fewer calories, have more fiber & are very tasty.  Below are a few of my favorite healthy recipe tips that I live my LivFit Lifestyle by… Note, if you eat saturated or trans fats you will get fat.  That also goes for sugar, even though it’s fat free, don’t let labels stating “fat free” fool you.  Sugar is the nonfat high body fat producing foods that you need to stay away from if you want to be lean, fit and healthy.

DIET TIPS FOR  CLEAN EATING It's hard to believe that summer is almost here. I love this time of year and I love everything about summer, the warmth of the sun, the sound of children playing outside and of course the many family and friend get-togethers ~ I seriously love it all! "LIVFIT RECIPE OF THE DAY ~ CHICKEN MEXICAN SALAD" I'm so happy it Friday!!! I live for the weekends; I love having my children home and spending quality time as a family. I also enjoy cooking and baking for my family and on the weekends I make sure I have plenty of delicious foods on hand and prepared for a fun weekend... Today I prepared a family favorite, taco salad with chicken made in the Crockpot. It's delicious and highly nutritious; it's high in protein (which is a must), fiber, flavor, veggies, vitamins and minerals. And best of all ~ it's so easy to do! Carol Whitaker's Low-Fat Chicken Mexican Salad 1 can black beans (low sodium) 1- 2 16 oz jar of your favorite salsa, plus extra 16 oz of fat-free cream cheese 3/4 cup sweet white corn 1 Tsp fresh cilantro salt & pepper to taste (sea salt) optional 6 chicken breast (with all fat cut off) Place ingredients in a Crockpot on low and cook for 6 to 8 hours, mix well every few hours.

DELICIOUS LOW-FAT RECIPES I love to cook for my family! Each day I make an after school snack for my children to come home to. There’s nothing like coming home to the smell of freshly baked cookies or a delicious hot meal after a long day at school or the office.  All of the cooking I do is low-fat, high in protein & fiber when possible. I can take any recipe and make it low-fat. It’s fun to be creative in the kitchen and having everyone love my cooking without adding extra calories. Below are a few of my favorite low-fat recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner that I enjoy making and are very delicious and satisfying.
